This Windows 11 Pro N product key activates the Pro N edition of Windows 11 on one PC. You get the full Pro feature set, while media apps such as Windows Media Player are left out by default. It suits professionals and businesses on Windows 11 hardware, and the key arrives by email.

Why does an N edition exist?
N editions exist because of a 2004 European Commission ruling on bundled media software. Microsoft responded by offering Windows without its media player and related technologies. The edition was made for Europe, but any buyer in any country can purchase and use it.
Removing those components also affects other apps. Some webcam, video-calling and photo apps rely on Windows media codecs. They may not play video until the Media Feature Pack is installed.

How to download, install and activate
- Download Windows 11 installation media or an ISO from the official Windows 11 download page.
- Boot from the USB drive and start a clean installation.
- Enter your Pro N key when prompted, so that setup installs Windows 11 Pro N.
- Complete setup, then go to Settings, then System, then Activation, and check the edition reads "Windows 11 Pro N".
- Open Optional features in Settings, choose View features, and add the Media Feature Pack.
- Restart, then install any media apps you need from the Microsoft Store.

The business features are the same in both editions. Choose Pro N only if you are happy to add media components yourself, or if your organisation requires N editions.

Can I use a Windows 11 Pro N key outside Europe?
Yes. Windows 11 Pro N is not restricted to Europe, and this key is not region-locked. Anyone can buy and activate it in any country. Just make sure Windows 11 Pro N is the edition installed on your PC.
How do I install the Media Feature Pack on Windows 11 Pro N?
Open Settings and find Optional features, then select View features. Search for "Media Feature Pack", tick it and choose Add. After a restart, Windows Media Player, codecs and media playback in other apps start working.
Why will my Windows 11 Pro N key not activate?
The usual cause is that standard Windows 11 Pro is installed instead of Pro N. An N key activates only N editions. Reinstall with your key so setup selects Pro N, or read our activation error 0xC004F050 guide.
Is Windows 11 Pro N slower or less secure than Pro?
No. Pro N uses the same kernel, security features and update schedule as Pro. The only difference is the missing media components. Performance and protection are the same, and Pro N receives the same Windows Update releases.
