How to download, install and activate Project 2024 Standard on three PCs
Direct download: Project 2024 Standard installer (English, 64-bit). Run the downloaded file to start setup.
Use the same download link and the same key on each of the three computers. The screens follow our Project 2024 download and activation guide; simply install the Standard edition.
- Save the installer from the link in your email to a USB drive or shared folder.
- On the first PC, run setup and wait for installation to finish.
- Open Project, enter the key and complete online activation.
- Repeat on the second and third PCs.
- Record which three PCs use the key for future reference.
Install Standard on every PC. The key belongs to the Standard edition, so it will not activate a Professional installation. Matching the bit version to any existing Office also prevents setup errors.
Standard or Professional for your three PCs?
Standard suits three planners who each manage their own projects. If your planners share a pool of people or publish to a server, choose the Project 2024 Professional 3-device licence.

How many computers can use this Project 2024 Standard key?
Three. The single key in this listing installs and activates Project 2024 Standard LTSC on three separate Windows PCs. Each PC needs its own installation and activation. If you later need a fourth PC, buy an additional licence rather than reusing this key on another machine.
Is there a Mac version of Project 2024 Standard?
No. Microsoft only makes Project desktop for Windows, so all three devices must be Windows PCs. On a Mac, you would need a Windows virtual machine with its own Windows licence. Check that each computer meets the Windows system requirements above before you start installing.
Can the three users share project files?
Yes, as files. Project 2024 Standard saves plans in .mpp format, which any Project 2024 user can open from a shared drive. Only one person should edit a file at a time. Team Planner and server publishing need the Professional edition.
Does this licence include security updates?
Yes. As an LTSC release, Project 2024 receives Microsoft security and quality updates until 9 October 2029. It does not receive new features. You can check the dates on the Microsoft Lifecycle site. Keep automatic updates switched on so all three PCs stay patched.
