How to download, install and activate Project 2024 Professional

- Download the installer from the link provided and run it.
- Wait for the Click-to-Run installation to finish, then open Project.
- Enter the product key when prompted, or go to File > Account.
- Confirm the Account page shows the product as activated.
LTSC builds are sometimes installed with the Office Deployment Tool and a configuration file. If Office is already installed, use the same bit version, 32-bit or 64-bit. Otherwise setup stops, because both programs share the same Click-to-Run components.

How long is Microsoft Project 2024 supported?
Project 2024 has five years of mainstream support, ending on 9 October 2029. There is no extended support phase after that date. Until then it receives regular security and quality updates. You can confirm the date on the Microsoft Lifecycle site.
Can I install Project 2024 Professional on a Mac?
No. Project 2024 Professional is a Windows-only application, and Microsoft does not release Project desktop for macOS. You need a Windows PC. Mac users sometimes run it inside a Windows virtual machine, which needs a separate Windows licence and enough memory for both systems.
Does this licence include Project Online?
No. This is a desktop licence. It can connect to Project Online or Project Server, but those services need their own Microsoft subscription or server licences. Without them, Project 2024 works fully as a standalone desktop scheduler, saving plans as .mpp files on your PC or network.
