How to choose the right antivirus
- Where you live: Kaspersky products must not be bought or used in the United States. US buyers should choose one of the McAfee licences.
- How long you want cover: Kaspersky Internet Security runs for two years from one activation; the other licences run for one year.
- Which devices you use: for one Windows PC, Mac, Android phone or iPhone, choose Kaspersky Total Security or McAfee Total Protection; Mac-first households suit McAfee Premium Security for Mac.
- One scanner only: remove any other real-time antivirus before you install, because two scanners on one device conflict.
Delivery and activation
After payment, your activation code arrives by email. For Kaspersky, install the app from kaspersky.com or your app store, sign in to My Kaspersky and enter the code. For McAfee, redeem the code at mcafee.com/activate in your McAfee account, then download the app. LicenceHouse never renews automatically, so you are not charged again when the term ends.
Frequently asked questions
Are these antivirus licences subscriptions?
Yes. Unlike our Windows and Office keys, antivirus licences run for a fixed term of one or two years. When the term ends, threat updates stop, and you buy a new code to continue.
Can I use Kaspersky in the United States?
No. The US Department of Commerce banned Kaspersky sales from 20 July 2024, and updates for US users stopped after 29 September 2024. Choose McAfee Total Protection or McAfee Premium Security for Mac instead.
Does one code cover several devices?
The two Kaspersky licences and McAfee Total Protection cover one device each. McAfee Premium Security for Mac is a multi-device McAfee+ plan, and your account shows how many devices are included.
