How to download, install and activate

- Remove any existing Office or Microsoft 365 installation from the PC.
- Download the Office LTSC 2021 installer from the link in your order email.
- Run the installer. IT teams can deploy the same edition with Microsoft's Office Deployment Tool and a configuration file.
- Open Word, go to File, then Account, and enter your product key.
- Stay connected to the internet while Office checks the key with Microsoft.
A volume edition will not accept a retail key, and a retail installation will not accept an LTSC key. This mismatch is the most common cause of "key not valid" messages, so always use the installer we provide.
